Through simple, child-like drawings Marji tells her unique, comical but also sad story of being raised by liberal parents under the country's new oppressive regime, which went to war with neighboring Iraq. Aside from the political and religious discourse offered in this book, one thing I agree with is that war always brings disastrous consequences.
